- WaPo: Kids Fuse Legos and Robotics at Competition. This is the organization that’s running this: The FIRST LEGO League. The challenge this year is “Climate Connections” and the tasks this year all center around this. The FLL is the grade-school (up to age 14) version of the FIRST Robotics League (ages 14-18). Here’s what appears to be the main local website for the FRL: Buckeye Regional. The regional is on Feb 26-29 2009 at the Wolstein Center. Up to 1500 kids will be there. Looks like there are Cleveland chapters at East Tech, Tri-C, SuccessTech, and St. Ignatius. (FIRST was founded by Dean Kamen, famous inventor.)
