WKYC: Private schools, parents pinched in tough economy. I’m assuming this segment is based on this Associated Press article. As we go through the thought process of where to send Ned to high school, the economy is certainly on our minds. I wonder how many folks will pull their kids out of private schools. After all, most suburban public schools are halfway decent. It’s a tougher call here in the city.
How much energy does a search on Google take? Maybe a lot more than you’d think. Alex Wissner-Gross’s take. Google’s take. Nick Carr’s take. As usual, Carr has some thoughtful things to say about this. There is definitely an attitude in some parts of the web that the “Internet Way” is always for the best, especially when it comes to the environment. Maybe not.
