- WKYC: High tech high school grads in high demand. A little article about Max Hayes HS.
- Bill Callahan: House Bill 3, Foley/Driehaus foreclosure reform bill, to be rolled out this week. So along with Obama’s foreclosure bill, maybe something will finally be done to get to the root of this finance problem. After all, real estate is worth something, even here in Cleveland.
- Plain Dealer: New parking plans for Cleveland Hopkins face tough audience at City Council hearing. I’m not clear how Ricky Smith hopes to get a better deal either. We currently pay Standard Parking $500K/year to run the parking concession at the airport. And the airport pockets $17 million in parking fees. This seems like not a bad way to go. I’m guessing he wants to somehow make the concessionaire responsible for parking construction and maintenance. This would be fine, if 1) parking rates didn’t go up and 2) parking was actually constructed and maintained. My guess is that one of the two would not happen.
